I’m a little late getting started since I’m in the middle of a major move, but today I made a good start on my Aspen Grove Shawl. I’ve blogged about it at http://justenoughtime.wordpress.com.

You inspire me. I too am knitting this shawl for a season of lace.
I worked about 20 rows and got bogged down with the stitch techniques for patterning the wrong side row. (I didn’t realize that the shawl did not have rest rows until I began the actual knitting.) Frogged it all last night because I was seeing a change in my knitting as I progressed.
I’m going to practice the new stitches before I commit them to the shawl.
Meanwhile, I’m working on some easy basic lace for gifts.
