In contrary to my plan, lace projects were thrown to the backburner… Blame it on a cardi that’s getting nearer to completion and this year’s strange summer weather in Germany that consist more of dark rainy day than bright sunny day.
Anyway, I finally succeeded in forcing myself to frog a mistake that I made in Anniversary Shawl and fall in love with it again. I chose the 1C and 2D clues, and am working on the 3A clue at this time. I love the way the clues that I chose created a growing pattern. Some of the other clues are a bit dynamic pattern which is not how I really feel about my life at this time. It comforts me to see my shawl growing and hoping that other aspects of my life grow to from the small efforts I’ve done.
Another stumble block in working in this shawl is that I hated the feeling of knitting merino lace. Strange but true. It’s very soft and squishy but I couldn’t get used to it. When I tensioned the yarn it became so thin and taut but then it bounced back and looked so fluffy. Fortunately now I get the hang of it and it doesn’t feel like knitting with dental floss anymore 
My other project is the Ribbon Lace which is also my portable project which is a bit neglected right now since I already in holiday and don’t go anywhere that often anymore. But I’m sure it would receive the attention it needed next week on my journey to Morrocco. Enough train and flight travel to get there..
