Oops. I failed at pattern reading

I was looking at my chart for the bluejeans leaf lace shawl last night, and thought, wow, that’s weird and shouldn’t I be purling more?  On wrong side rows I’ve been doing k1through back loop, p2, k to 3 stitches before end, p2, sl1 wyif.   And what does the pattern call for?

Row6 and all WS Rows from here on: k1 tbl, k2 | p to next marker | k2 sl1 wyif, turn.

Oops.  Wow, that’s an impressive mistake.

Um, it’s a design feature intended to make the shawl reversable!  That’s my story and I shall be sticking to it.   And the edging makes this nifty braid-looking sort of thing.   So, no worries, it’s all good.

Hey, design elements are very cool!!

I made the bluejeans lace shawl a couple of months ago – it was the first lace thing that I ever made. When it was almost completed, my puppy decided that it was a BAD THING and ripped it to shreds. He is a little older…and wiser….now, and doesn’t fool with my yarn at all. Wonder why…;0)

    • Aww. At least he was cute?

Mine left deep claw marks on several of our doors by scratching at them, but they never were interested in yarn. Did chew a book or two before they learned better.
