Important lesson learned. It is really depressing to figure out how much you have left to knit on a triangular shawl started from the bottom point. Sigh. I have ~1400 square inches left to knit to get to a 4 ft long middle back (out of a total of ~1700) which means I have 82% of the thing left to knit. Good thing I memorized the pattern, right?
In other news, my scarf is done. 375 yards of yarn used.  And here we have an attempt at artsy photography…
This shows length
And this shows texture.
And this is what I cast on (after much self-doubt, cursing of needle points, and realizing that all my needles above size 8 are completely unsuited for lace knitting with either DK or worsted weight). That’s my personal variation on the Montego Bay scarf (because I am too lazy to find the pattern and adjusted it the first time I tried it anyway). That’s what I like to refer to as dental floss yarn on size 8s.

I also cast on the Luna Moth, but frogged it after I decided that the yarn was overpowering the pattern. I’m thinking maybe medallion or flower lace out of Knitting Lace Triangles for the yarn now.

And another picture of the blue-jeans leaf lace shawl, because I can and I thought the picture was pretty…

So beautiful work! But right now one question stands out- who the heck climbed up the tree to put the scarf there?
Thanks!
I tossed the end over the tree limb and it stayed. It’s a Japanese Maple, so not hugely tall. Huge generally, but not so tall.
