I didn’t take a picture of this pi cloth until it was almost done. I cast on July 11th.  I have to finish the border yet and block it. I designed this cloth as a great way to practice the Lighter Circular Beginning (second half of that video or a picture version here – last one on the page). This also gives you experience with a knit on border on a smaller scale.

I also started (July 1st) a summer stole to wear on the cool days at the pool (like I’ll finish in time!). Well, I’ll wear it with anything actually! I’m calling it Black Olives (for now…maybe it’ll stick). The stitch pattern is from one of Barbara Walker’s books. It will have a knit on wide border on each end. See that yellow waste yarn…that is where one of the wide borders will be knit on later.

What nice projects! I especially love the pi cloth–I think that’s a great idea on so many levels.
