I’m still working on UFO’s that have been gathering dust for ages. This one is “Salmon Queen”, a pattern by Herbert Niebling. I used Flora #50 on US 000 needles.Â

So many projects, so little time! I still have several other UFO’s to work on so maybe by the Fall/Winter edition of Season of Lace I will actually start and finish a project on this blog LOL.
A lovely piece of lace.
Dear knitsbyteri,
Thank you
I’m happy to finally finish this one. I sometimes cast-on too many projects at once and then have to choose what to finish first.
Just stunning…wow, I’m absolutely in awe (read: jealous!). Someday I’ll get there…
Diane
I’m happy you like it
It was fun to knit but I’d like to do something a little larger next time with a change of thread from Flora which I use a lot. You will get there if you keep at it I’m sure! I find knitting lace so relaxing that I just get a lot of practice at it.
WOW! Stunning. unbelievably gorgeous. You should be very proud of this piece.
Dear meredith,
I really enjoy making the Niebling doilys. Most of the credit for how this looks is due to his beautiful patterns. I just follow them
I’m really glad you like how it came out. I hope more people get a chance to knit his patterns. Lacis in Berkeley has a few nice books with his works in them and they are starting to re-print his patterns so anyone who is interested might have a chance to knit one. They just printed “Lyra” and it’s in English!
