Lily of the Valley Scarf

It’s finished. Now I can really focus on Aeolian. I used 400 yards of Alpaca/bamboo fingering weight, and this baby came out to 10″ by 72″, even though I skipped the last 14 rows. fun! I knit it on size 1 needles. It’s a pretty easy pattern, and there are lots of nupps, but they go pretty quickly once you get in a rhythm. Fun. I started this on June 15h. I’m sure it will be happy to find its new home.

  • oooh! I love that! Lily of the Valley is on my to do list from Knitted Lace of Estonia.
    Well done!
Only 400 yards huh? On size US1? Wow

  • It is lovely. The yarn was more of a fingering weight, so the scarf turned out much bigger than it is in the pattern, even though I knit it on size 1 needles. I was surprised, but pleased, since I think 44″ is too short in the first place. Be aware that there are errors in the chart. You’ll want to look for errata before you start!

Of course, I’m not really free to really work on Aeolian after all. I’m trying desperately to finish a bulky weight sweater, which I don’t really want to work on, and two pairs of socks, before I’m free to do anything else. Oh dear, I am too busy!
