I&#039;m intrigued by the heel, and I&#039;m wondering (only because you mention the pattern runs large) if the socks could be made smaller by reducing the number of stitches in the stockinette panel along the side.  Though I think it might upset the lines of symmetry along the length of the sock. Interesting piece, and lovely knitting.</description>
