It was such a tough choice, but since I had this scrumptious new green of Zephyr screaming to be cast on, I opted to cast on for Leaf Envy by Mary White.

I’ve finished the 1st repeat of the leaf chart, and I just love it is knitting up. With the budding trees and spring bulbs popping up from the ground, who could resist?
With a little break in the rain today, I was finally able to get some photos of the Traveling Woman Prayer Shawl I had been working on.

I used a fingering weight, superwash merino for this shawl, and it turned out just beautiful! (More pictures can be found on my Ravelry page here.) I’ll be delivering it to my friend Loretta tomorrow, to wrap her in a little wooly comfort, as she traverses the cancer treatment road ahead of her. She’s having a 2nd surgery on the 22nd, to remove additional tumors found in her 1st surgery. Thank you, to all of you who sent along well wishes! Please keep her in your prayers.

Thank you! I hope the recipient can feel that same “energy”. She’s got a long road ahead of her. I hope this offers her comfort in those most trying moments!
I really like your Traveling Woman Prayer Shawl! It looks so comfortable and warm both from the physical and metaphysical perspective. It is as if the energy you put into it made it all the way into the photo.
Or perhaps it’s just that gorgeous combination of yarn and pattern wonderfully presented.
