Girasole is Done!

1,500 yards of knitting later (and 3,000 yards of yarn, since I doubled KP Palette to get a light worsted weight) my Girasole is done. It won’t be gifted until September, but I am happy to have the heavy afghan off my lap for the summer!

I won’t be finishing my other gift lace, frozen leaves, this season. I would like to say that it’s not my fault because although I had the time to finish it, I had run out of beads and so couldn’t. However, since I am the one who grossly mis-estimated my beading needs, that one really is my fault. I’ve been waiting for them to arrive in the mail. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it by the end of the month, and then I’ll be able to start some selfish lace knitting for myself in July!
