Finished and not so finished

I finished the Ellen cowl I made for my daughter. This came to 75 yds. of  8 ply cashmere.

I did not finish the Alpaca Fan shawl I started earlier in the season. I kept putting this off for other things. I had planned on finishing it this weekend, but opted for family time instead. It is a fun and easy knit, I just wish I had picked it up a few more times. I ended up knitting 400 yds. of baby alpaca.
