Yes, there is a lot of red relating to this posting. I have made a lot of progress on my Chinoise because I had to make a trip to Ithaca, NY to talk to my Son who is a student at Cornell (Go Big Red!) and that project is RED. I am to the last 40 or so rows and the grafting to finish it.

When I returned, I needed to do something that was quick (the Chinoise seems to be really slow) and thought I would work up some of the yarn I had bought to make some scarves for the charity suggested by Shadow Dancer at the end of last season – OFA so I made three scarves to send off to them shortly. I did simple lace patterns that I thought would be relatively gender neutral and verified with my temporarily home collegiate son that they were ok for a guy. I’m trying to decide if I should write up the second pattern…

Great scarves! I really love the first chunky one – it’s so simple, but looks so inviting.
Those are lovely scarves. Someone is going to be very lucky to get them.
Yes the scarves are for the Red Scarf Project for the Orphan Foundation of America for college students that were in foster care.
I’m glad you like them. Thank you.
Nice work! I love all the red scarves. Are they for the Red Scarf Project?
