Hi Everyone, I’ve made great progress on Damask and in fact have finished the knitting since this photo was taken. I had a nice long TV show marathon and got it completed last night. That’s the great thing about bottom-up patterns. The more you knit the faster it goes. I’ll post another shot when I [...]
Hi Everyone, This year I plan on finishing at least one of the projects I start. I cast-on Damask by Kit Figueroa on the 22nd using Sundara’s Fingering Merino Cashmere. It’s my first time using this yarn, since I’ve been saving it for something special. I’m using the Aged Oak Barrel Colorway from the Napa [...]
Hi Everyone, I’m excited about a new season. It’s very hot here in my part of the world (Maryland), so working on a lace project is perfect. I plan on knitting Evenstar, and will be casting on this weekend with some Sundara Silk Lace in my stash. It’s been sitting in preparation for the perfect [...]
Hi Everyone, I’m really looking forward to this season. My goal is to finally finish a large project within the season. I’m participating in both the Evenstar KAL and the Snow Queen by BadCatDesigns this winter. I haven’t chosen a yarn for the Snow Queen, but I’m leaning towards some ColourMart that I have on [...]
Hi Everyone, I’m looking forward to actually finishing something this season. I’ve been spinning over the summer and hope to knit something from what I’ve spun, as well as use one of the yarns that inhabit my stash. I can’t wait to see what wonderful projects are produced this year!
I have finally managed to cast on another lace project this winter. I started the Raha scarf just before the season began and so I didn’t post about it. I have now started a project that qualifies, though, and am looking forward to working on it. It is the Hanami Stole, knit in Knitpicks Shimmer [...]
I did manage to finish my Seaweed Socks on the 16th. They came out very well. I may just have to make another pair, since the pattern was so easy to memorize that I only had to check the chart out once. I’m looking forward to the fall, and maybe a lace shawl or two.
I’ve been really bad about posting this summer, but I have managed to finish some lace socks. My hope was to be able to get at least one shawl completed, but that fell by the wayside fairly early on. These are the Swan Song socks by Wendy Johnson, finished in July. Then there were the [...]
I’ve been saving the first clue of the Goddessknits Anniversary Shawl for this KAL. I’m casting on today in some white Jaggerspun Zephyr. I will also be working on the Cobweb Crepe Shawl from Heirloom Knitting and my warm up project, the Bird’s Nest Shawl from Evelyn Clark. I’m very tempted by a few of [...]
I’m looking forward to participating in this group this summer. I will be having a summer of lace and socks (SOS8). I have so many patterns that I want to make and am having a hard time deciding on which to do first. I’m currently working on Nancy Bush’s “A Stork’s Nest Scarf to Knit” [...]
