I’m excited about participating. Since 12/21 I’ve started 3 lace projects: Adamas shawl, On the Vine scarf and my own creation using some really cool yarn. More later with pics, but I wanted to get this post up so I’m “in”.
Well, here she is:Â …and Now for the Next Project!
21 July 2008 Last night Abbie and Lilly and I blocked the lace, pinning it out in the tatami room. Cats were absolutely fascinated. They wanted to lie on top of the wet lace!! Thank Japanese tradition for sliding doors to partition rooms! Cats were banned. This morning, I unpinned the lace and it lay [...]
19 July 2008 Binding off now. For the last several rows it has taken over 30 minutes per row in pattern, but 25 for the straight knitted rows. Yikes! I have all day Sunday to continue working and blocking. Then for the photos.Â
I’ve got 5 nore rows of 704 sts each to complete–that includes binding off. Then 36 ends to tie in and off to the sink it goes.  I’ll do pics as soon as it is off the needles. This weekend is the goal!!
I’m still in the final throes (or is it throws–as in “throws into the trash”…) of my Queen Anne’s Lace. Row 140 of 159 and now it takes 1/2 ball of yarn to go one row. I should finish it this week, maybe even tonight and then on to my next lace project: Ornamental!! Swatching [...]
Well. July 4, 2008 and I’m happily knitting my QAL. Up around row 115/151. Oh, would that those digits transpose themselves on my actual knitting!! I really want to start on a second project, but I’m committed to finishing this one–from CO to blocking before I find the next pattern and fondle the fiber!
Well. I got one day in already and only 4/32 rows had to be ripped. So now on to see what other headway I can make today on my QAL. So far so fun. Mary Beth
I’m very excited about this adventure. I’m new to lace (although my Ravelry project list has 4 lace WIP featured! Last night I sat up dreaming up projects and this is what I’ve decided so far: Queen Anne’s Lace from Men Who Knit’s Mmario Kieran Foley’s Seascape Foest Path Stole from the Alpaca Yarn Company [...]
