It’s small – like really small in yardage but I finished my Very Pretty Rose Thing! It’s beautiful and soft and would be wonderful except that it’s almost Spring here in Oklahoma!
Although I finished my newest design several weeks ago it wasn’t until a few days ago that we finally took photos (this is the only one I’ve emailed myself from Chris’s computer). The Sangiovese Stole is still in test knit phase but I expect to release the pattern for purchase in March. Yarn – 800yds [...]
Here’s a photo of my Pretty Little Rose Thing (pattern Pretty Thing by the Yarn Harlot) in the new Lost City Knits Merino Angora. The colorway is called Wine & Roses and is a soft sweet rose color, much more pink than the photo shows. I’m on row 11 and thoroughly enjoying the ease of [...]
This is one of those Season Spanning projects I’d guess. According to Ravelry I started this project on Dec 6th and finished on January 1st. It was designed as a simple pattern for a beginning bead and lace knitter. Yesterday it occurred to me that I hadn’t taken any finished photos other than the blocking [...]
When I saw Nolaboard’s Cloisters Wrap (pattern by Mariam Felton) I was smitten. Now that the holiday knitting is behind me I’ve cast on one for me!
Mom’s gift is finished and off the wires! I pretty-pleased Chris into taking a few quick snapshots of me in it before I wrap it up for Mom. I hope she likes it and wears it! Yeah – I like it. I may have to knit one for myself – next year.
Mom’s Ashwyn Beret is finished…but… it is so huge that I’ll probably frog it. It simply won’t fit on Mom’s head or even mine. Since it was a gift I’ve decided to instead give Mom the shawlette that the beret was designed to be worn with. So here is the cast on of 198 Yards [...]
I hadn’t planned to knit anything for my mother this year for a holiday gift, but the other night inspiration whacked me up side the head and I cast on an Ashwyn Beret for Mom. The knitting is going lightening fast – got to love that about worsted weight! The slowest thing thus far was [...]
The lace shawl that I took on vacation is finished, and it counts as my tenth shawl in 2010. Whew! Pattern is Daenerys by Valerie Johnson. This was a wicked fast knit because it’s so intuitive. After one or maybe two repeats you have the basic pattern memorized. Perfect for travel knitting! Here’s the photos [...]
We returned today from our vacation in the Desert Southwest of the US. It’s sooo good to be home! I managed to get quite a lot of my Dragon Goddess (pattern Daenerys from Wandering Cat Studio) Shawl knitted while we were driving. In fact, I have one row and the bind off left and hope [...]
