I cast on yesterday (Jan 9th)  for the Hudson River Triangle.  This pattern was the pattern I picked for my prize from the last Season of Lace. I’m also still working on my Mandala lace from last season. I’ve got a lot done but I still have a lot left to do.

Here is my last lace project for the Season of Lace 2008.  The pattern is Upstairs (Rav link).  The yarn is Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud in the Peppermint colorway.  I did four extra pattern repeats to increase the length.  The blocked measurements are 19″ x 60″.  I probably could have stretched it a bit more.  [...]

Sep 132008

This is most likely going to be the last lace item for this “Season”.  It is Upstairs by WollSchnegge.  I am using the English version of the pattern that is at Ravelry. I started it Sept 3rd and have been knitting away on it to get it finished.  I’m not quite half way done. The [...]

Black Olives

Aug 272008

This stole reminded me of black olives while I was designing it so that is what I ended up calling it.  It starts with a provisional cast on.  Once the main knitting is done the lace edging is knit sideways on the working end, then unzip the provisional cast on and knit the border on [...]

Aug 212008

Just a quick little project.  This is the Snowflake Star by Judy Gibson.  I decided to give a 5-pointed star a try.  I used a metallic thread so it shimmers.  Here’s the link to this project on Ravelry.

I didn’t take a picture of this pi cloth until it was almost done.  I cast on July 11th.   I have to finish the border yet and block it.  I designed this cloth as a great way to practice the Lighter Circular Beginning (second half of that video or a picture version here – [...]

I’m catching up on blogging this morning. I cast on for the Anniversary Mystery Shawl on the 21st. Went with size 5 needles and yarn from handpaintedyarn. I’ve done Clue 1A and Clue 2B so far and loving it.

Warming up with Adamas

Jun 062008

I finished Adamas this week. I put up pictures on my blog but even more on Ravelry. This was my third triangle shawl. I completed Swallowtail in April and Diamond Fantasy in May. I had no idea that Seasons of Lace was going to be in my future. Although I don’t think I could/would have [...]
