When I checked in last month nothing had been decided for this summer. I am so glad the group decided to knit Aeolian this summer as I am *really* wanting to knit this shawl! I am binding-off Swallowtail (last summer’s shawl!) tonight so I am ready to cast-on for something new. I am also knitting [...]
So here is my next favorite project. It is the Lace Tam from A Gathering of Lace. I liked this because of its cableing and lace. I can’t wait to wear it out. I was going to give it away but , I think I will keep this one.
I am very nearly done with my sweater. I’ve just got one arm to knit and then the edging, sew in the ends and it’s done. And after getting through the first pattern repeat on the arm warmers, it’s apparent that I will need to start over in a larger size. Swatching and measuring is [...]
I’m going out of town for the weekend, and it’s entirely possible that I’ll finish my sweater so I figured I’d get started on the next project. This is the Arrowhead Arm Warmers from Interweave Knits 2008 Holiday Gifts. The yarn is Baby Bunny from Tess’ Desginer yarns. I’m going to make these for a [...]
I am trying this once more. I failed to track anything for the last round. I didn’t realize that this round had already started. I have knit some lace this week. I finished off my Feather and fan Shawl from A Gathering of Lace. Hubby is out of town with the camera, so no pics until next [...]
Hey everyone!! I just cast on my second attempt at a sweater, also my second time trying this pattern, Hermia. I’m using Sublime, soy/cotton in a delightful dark pink. *fingers crossed* There were a few things about my first try that i didn’t like how they came out, so i’ll be switching some stuff up.
I just took my Aspen Grove Shawl off the blocking board today. Â All in all it’s been a great project. Â I love the yarn and the pattern, although I did get a bit frustrated with the middle section, getting all the yo’s in the right places. I can’t figure out how to put the picture [...]
I’m a little late getting started since I’m in the middle of a major move, but today I made a good start on my Aspen Grove Shawl. I’ve blogged about it at http://justenoughtime.wordpress.com.
Hi everyone! I had posted earlier that I was taking a lace class at my LYS and working on my very first lace item…and it’s finally done and looks GREAT, even if I do say so myself! It’s a little longer than I had wanted it, but it’s a little tricky (at least for a [...]
… but I heard about this yesterday and signed up last night. Whew! I guess I’m too late to join any competitions, but not to participate and be eligible for raffles? I’m fairly new to lace, but I’ve just started the Goddess Knits Anniversary Shawl and finished clue #1 last night. I’m currently stalking the [...]
