I finished my monstrous project!!! I used the Wing of the Moth pattern, and instead of making it triangular, I made it square. I used Miss Babs Yowza, a worsted weight wool. I used 2,400 yards!!! I am so loving this blanket. And here’s my “Lace on Vacation” photo. It was taken in Big Sky, [...]
I started another lace project on March 1. Currently, I’ve knit .95 mile of yarn. That’s 1,680 yards. If there was a Super Large Lace category, this would fit in it. I should have finished photos next week. Until then, here’s a pile of knots and holes! I’m back to my knitting!
My mom keeps reminding me to post a finished photo of Caricia. I always dislike photos of myself, but it’s the only one I have that shows the shawl. I totally enjoyed knitting this, and I’d highly recommend it.
I just started Caricia. I love almost all of Anne Hanson’s patterns. The yarn is Handmaiden Casbah. The colorway is Sangria. I’m enjoying this project so much!
Hypotenuse is bound off, blocked, and modeled. 3 skeins of Handmaiden Silk Maiden. Blocked, it is 20 x 73. Now on to the next four project! Maria quiltmomoffive
I’m very behind on my posting! I started Hypoteneuse on January 6th. I used three skeins of Handmaiden Silk Maiden.I don’t know the colorway because it was an ebay purchase. Here’s a photo of the shawl in process. I’ll post photos again when it’s blocked.
One more finished project to sneak in! It’s Langsgalid Barur. This was a fun and easy project, knit with Silk Garden Sock Yarn. I may be ready to knit something other than lace though!
Here I go again. I started another project! It’s the Firmaments Lace Shawl, a pattern available on WEBS. I’m using Schaeffer Anne in Midnight. I knit a bunch, frogged a bunch, and now I’m back on track. I didn’t realize that I had to knit a row between each lace row in the first pattern. [...]
Who knew that someone so out of shape could win a gold medal. In 16 days (I even finished a day ahead) I knit the Flirty Ruffles Shawl . It’s the first time I’ve ever knit with 100% cashmere. I’m hooked! I literally bound off, stood up and had Honey take a picture. There were [...]
Finally!!! A finished project. I test knit Hydrangea for Susan Pandorf. You can purchase the pattern on her blog I love this thing. It has a ton of beads on it, and took a bit of time, but it was well worth it. For more details, check out my blog post. I’ll post my Ravelympics [...]
