For much of the last two months I’ve been reading all the posts and looking at all the gorgeous lace being knit. I’ve abandoned the two lace scarves I started. I will return to them. In the meantime, I’ve been stashbusting with other projects. Then I received my Spring Interweave Knits magazine… Last night I [...]
Work on my Penobscot scarf is continuing. I’ve already done more for this season than I did for the last. I think bigger yarn is the key. Today I’m home with my hubby, who is recovering from hernia surgery, and our 7 year old is on an all day play date, so I think I [...]
OK, I joined in the summer, and the only thing I accomplished was making a project bag as a prize. This time will be different! I am a couple of repeats into the Penobscot Silk Scarf from Summer 06 Interweave Knits. I’m making it with Ella Rae Shibu. It’s to have a total of 7 [...]
Only one week left until we officially begin! I will spend some time this week picking a project that I’m excited to begin. I look forward to all the inspiration I will receive seeing everyone else’s progress.
Ok, finally…here’s the picture of the bag I made to be a prize. Â Hopefully, soon I’ll actually post a picture of some lace knitting!! Â :) <a href=”http://www.flickr.com/photos/amyknitts/2823433288/” title=”sol donation bag by amyknittsnow, on Flickr”><img src=”http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3076/2823433288_c554cd0938.jpg” width=”375″ height=”500″ alt=”sol donation bag” /></a>
I promised a bag as a prize a while back, and it’s done!! Â I haven’t made any progress on my lace scarf…(shakes her head in dismay). Â I will get a picture posted soon.
Ok, while I still haven’t tried recasting on my raspberry scarf, I come check out the web site to stay inspired. Â All the work going on is so wonderfully impressive! Â Anyway, only laundry on the to do list for tomorrow, so I will start!
I jumped in tonight and was quickly brought to the frogs!! Â I never made it through the first row, so after two tries I’m here posting. Â I will start again tomorrow in the light of day.
I still haven’t started yet. Â It’s my first “real” lace project and I’m intimidated by such fine yarn! Â The beautiful chocolate razberri is calling to me in it’s perfectly wound ball. Â I just need to take it by the tail and start…
I picked the Raspberry Rhapsody Scarf from The Knitter’s Book of Yarn. Â I ordered this beautiful yarn from Wool Girl. Â Jen sent me this fabulously wrapped package pronto. Â I ordered on Monday and received it on Thursday. Â I’m ready to go!
