Okay, I’ve dawdled long enough. It’s time to announce a PRIZE! As you may recall, Meg and Tami from SchoolHouse Press sent three prizes for us this year. One of them is: Meg Swansens Lace Knitting DVD I think it’s time that I put this baby in the mail for someone. Now, ordinarily, I give [...]
I thought and thought long and hard about my next lace project. I even canvassed opinions from the sage and erudite knitters here at Seasons of Lace. I pondered, procrastinated, and pondered some more. I leafed through every book I possess, studied every stitch pattern I could find, and perused every lace pattern known to [...]
Let me go back a step. My very first lace project was Aestlight: basically, a very big triangle of garter stitch surrounded by a modest two-row lace pattern, of which I still managed regularly to forget whether I was knitting Row A or Row B, and knit a bit of both, quite happily without noticing, [...]
I’ve cast on for my first shawl, Stars over Diamonds. 1 picture.
Hi! I’m Secret Agent from over at Secret Agent Fiber Arts. I am a new blogger, and fairly new knitter. I have completed 2 hats (in the round, DPNs! Both with colourwork!), and have ripped out lots more projects! I also crochet, sew, and embroider.

I received the gorgeous, soft and lovely knit picks Alpaca Cloud last week, and Lacefreak also sent a huge hank of Designs by Romi Handpainted Alpaca Lace Yarn. And a beautiful pattern for a shawl, the Blue Bird Shawl by designed by Rosemary Hill. The colors are amazing- dark slate green Alpaca Cloud and bright [...]
It’s that time again, ladies and gents. Time for the old prize maven to open up the prize vault, fire up the random number generator and award some goodies…. I thought I’d start with the Raffle for which everyone pretty much knows the prize – Newbie Lace Knitter. As we did last season, we have [...]
I finished my Three Sister’s Scarf #2. It still needs to be blocked a little. Since it is silk, it won’t take much. Notice how much happier Sunny looks modeling it this time. She knows it’s finished. Little does she know, there are more projects to be cast on.
My Three Sister’s Scarves #2 is coming along well. I’m 2/3 finished. I love this pattern . It is easy enough to memorize but not so much to be boring. Here it is on Sunny . She was not pleased that I asked her to model it. She hates it when I knit. Knitting means my [...]
