I’m glad but also broken hearted that I’ve finally finished spinning my shetland-silk, glad because it went as planned with gradation from grey to deep purple, broken hearted because I only succeed in getting 337m from the 50gr I’m afraid it won’t be enought for Aeolian even if I knit the smallest version and narrow [...]

Is it just me or is it going to be a long cold and flu season?  I have been doing more spinning and knitting than blogging.  I have had children sick with the flu.  I am also trying to get my shop ready for the First Anniversary and Holiday Open House Sale.  Here is a picture showing my drafting [...]

I’ve finished the first half of shetland and silk blend from Thylacine in the colourway Meadowbank. I’m trying to achieve colour gradation from grey to dark purple and spin each colour separately. I hope I will get enough yardage and can finish it fast enough to knit Aeolian for the season.

And because she’s so eager to have playmates in this, Season’s of Lace’s first ever Lace-Weight Spin Along, she’s   donated some wonderful roving for some [...]
