I was so blessed with all the wonderful prizes I received last season. The last prize to arrive was delayed because I couldn’t decide which color to get. In the end, I bought two of the colors and the last colorway became the prize.  BB Knits has some lovely yarn and these are no exception.  [...]

I came home from Convergence and visiting my parents and found a wonderful Pieceworks magazine waiting for me. Then yesterday, the yarn from Lost City Denise arrived from our prize swap. I generally don’t get yellow but I love the color! Now to decide what to make with it….

I’ve got my first FO for the summer season!!  I’ve put the pattern on Ravelry as a Freeby here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/prayers-of-love-shawl It’s being modeled by a fiberglass sheep in from of our LYS, The Wool and Cotton Shop.  This is a really easy, fun knit!!! (IMHO) It takes 3 skiens of Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted [...]

Here’s a much nicer photo of the only bind-off I can claim this season. This pattern, Miryam, is going to be released sometime this week at The Sanguine Gryphon, as I hope will be my pattern from last spring now called Aster Nyx. I’m hoping it will bring in enough cash to fund a few [...]

Jun 162010

I thought I’d announce a wee changed to the rules.. We’ve deliberated, and are making the following change to the Rules for Raffles. 1)  As always, if you’ve finished something that you’ve knit more than 50% of during the given season, it qualifies for BOUND OFF raffle “ticket”. (note YOU have to select those categories [...]

Jun 102010

Last week these amazing stitch markers made by the amazing Utlinde arrived in the mail. You know, I could try to get another photo, but mine would not be better than this one. The amazing thing is that this photo makes the markers appear a bit bigger than they are. That is amazing to me, [...]

My latest attempt at design is for a Pi Shawl class I’m teaching at the LYS here.  I’ve got another one on the needles that I think will really look better for display at the shop.  This one is 750 yards of merino lace and 1500+ beads and measures 48 inches across after blocking.  I’m [...]
