Re. cobweb versus lace: Cobweb is the even tinier version of lace – also sometimes referred to as ‘frog hair’. It is often 1ply, whilst lace is commonly 2ply and is most prominently used in fine shetland lace. But really you can do almost every lace pattern in cobweb. It will just be even more delicate and fragile – depending on the needles you choose.
