This is not quite lace-weight yarn made of 65% Merino Wool and 35% Tussah Silk. Lace weight yarns typically have 5000 or more yards per pound. This yarn has approximately 3200 yards per pound (ypp). According to Miss Babs, “this little bit of extra heaviness makes it a great choice for folks new to lace knitting, and still is a wonderful choice for those well-versed in lace knitting.” Each skein is approximately 400 yards and 2.3 ounces. (This prize caused me to contact Miss Babs herself, with great results).
